Mthatha born Xhosa trap artist, song writer Snymaan, shared with the world his debut single under Ambitiouz Entertainment on the 25 March 2020, a day before South Africa’s Lockdown. He put his thoughts down on paper and gave us Umvulo, which translates to Monday, vocalising how things will get better as the days go on and no one week is ever the same. Hardships and disappointments will not last forever and there is light in a new week as it is bound to give us new direction.
Friday 10 July, Snymaan shared with us the Umvulo visuals. The visuals depict the life story of a woman that goes through life and the struggles we are facing in the current predicament we find ourselves in with the pandemic. Tackling the socialist drama of Covid-19, job losses, abuse, and mental and physical health. Everyone has a story and we all are looking forward to the amazing times where we can breathe a bit.
Snymaan had this to say about Umvulo; “It’s a visual representation of the message of the song. I hope it teaches everyone to persevere and to have courage. We should know that life will have bad moments and great moments, but we must stay strong always and look forward to a better tomorrow.”
Umvulo has been very well received by all in just two days of its release, it has over 20k views on YouTube. We cannot wait to hear and see more of Snymaan’s thoughts through song.
