Johannesburg- From willing to spend just five minutes of his time with his attention seeking girlfriend while trying to work, Sibu Nzuza now finds it hard to let go of the beautiful body which has landed in front of his face. The Ambitiouz Entertainment signee releases his second song titled ‘Thinta Thinta’ which translates directly into ‘Touch’, influenced by one of the iconic musical giants, Miriam Makeba’s ’Phata Phata’.
Thinta Thinta follows Sibu Nzuza’s debut single ‘5 Minutes’, which is on high rotation on radio and television stations. The second project in which Sibu Nzuza features the talented Mnqobi Yano is his way of paying tribute to Phata Phata as it is one of his childhood favourites. While Makeba’s classic song inspired Sibu’s song and the context behind it, the sound and lyrics are distinct. The song is of an upbeat tempo, Afro-pop song infused with reggae. As he makes new age African music, Sibu added a touch of Djembe and Conga instruments in this song to remain unique and grounded to his African roots.
Thinta Thinta is about randomly wanting to grab a woman’s figure in appreciation of her body as she may have insecurities now and then, and in reassurance that she is still beautiful and attractive. It is also about expressing emotions that are focused on the non-physical characteristics of a woman such as the delicate but powerful and confident personality she has. The 29-year-old KZN born is thrilled about the release.
“I’m relieved and excited about the release, mainly because my supporters have been incessantly impatient and restless since the last release. I’ve also ignored questions about when my next release is, because they have been waiting for a long time. I assure them that I took my time on this project to make sure I give them what they deserve, the absolute best of my sound.” says Sibu Nzuza.
The unique sound will have the whole family tapping their feet, with the song stuck in their heads. Perfectly suited for any occasion and it is available for download on all digital platforms.
